What it is
Shubh Accounting is GST billing and accounting software for small shopkeepers and traders in India. It runs on the user's own computer and keeps data on a drive the user chooses.
Free plan (free forever)
The following are free forever, with no time limit:
- Item master (stock updates automatically) and party master (customers and suppliers)
- All vouchers: GST sale invoices, purchase bills, payments in and out, expenses
- Party ledger
- Bank
- Data export to Excel (.xlsx) and CSV

Data ownership and exit
- Data is stored on the user's own computer, on the drive chosen during install.
- Users can export their data at any time, from Settings, to Excel (.xlsx) (one workbook, one sheet per table) or CSV (zip).
- Exported tables: Parties, Items, Sales, Sale Items, Purchases, Purchase Items, Payments.
- Export uses open, common formats, not a proprietary format, so users can move their data to other software.
- A backup feature is in development.

Login and internet
First login is by email with a one-time password (OTP), which needs internet. After that, everyday work runs without internet.
