4. Consent, withdrawal and suspension
- The Free and GST plans need your consent to Contribution Data. You can withdraw it at any time. When you do, those plans stop. You can still open the software, view your data and export it.
- If you withdraw while on the GST plan, we refund the unused part of your fee.
- Withdrawing and giving consent again many times can lead to a temporary suspension, exactly as set out in section 3.6 of the privacy policy. During a suspension you can still view and export your data.
5. Your data
- Your accounting data belongs to you and is stored on your computer.
- You can export it to Excel or CSV at any time, including after a plan stops.
- You are responsible for keeping copies of your data. Use the export feature regularly. GST law requires you to keep your accounts for several years.
- You are responsible for the accuracy of your entries and for your GST filings. Please check your returns with your accountant.
6. Acceptable use
Do not use the software for anything unlawful, to make fake invoices or evade tax, or to copy, resell, reverse engineer or tamper with it. If you do, we may suspend your account after telling you why, or at once where the law requires.
7. Updates
- Most updates are optional. You choose when to install them.
- Sometimes an update is needed for security or to keep your data safe. We will tell you in the software at least 7 days before an older version stops working, so you have time to update.
- Updates are free. You can export your data at any time, including before you update.
8. No warranty
The software is provided "as is". We work to keep it accurate and reliable, and we fix errors we find, but we cannot promise it will be free of errors.
9. Limitation of liability
To the extent allowed by law, we are not liable for indirect losses, lost profits or lost data arising from use of the software. Nothing in these terms limits any right you have under Indian law that cannot be limited.
10. Ending the agreement
You can stop using the software and close your account at any time. We may close an account on 30 days' notice, or sooner under section 6. If we close a paid account without any fault on your part, we refund the unused part of your fee.
11. Changes to these terms
For any change that affects your rights or your plan, we will tell you in the software and by email at least 30 days before it takes effect. If you do not accept the change, you can stop using the plan before then; paid users get a refund of the unused part. Small fixes only change the date at the top of this page.
12. Complaints and law
Email support@shubhaccounting.in. We reply within 7 working days and resolve within 10 working days. These terms are governed by the laws of India. Nothing here stops you from approaching a consumer commission or the Data Protection Board of India where the law allows.
